All Soccer First Players Parents and Coaches,

You may already be aware that the State of Ohio enacted Lindsay’s Law which took effect on August 1, 2017.  The purpose of this law is to address and prevent occurrences of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (“SCA”) in young athletes by educating youth athletes, parents and coaches on signs, symptoms and responses, as well as screening student athletes for risks associated with SCA.

In adhering with the guidelines set forth as part of Lindsay’s Law, Soccer First is required to distribute the following informational materials to youth athletes, parents and coaches and to collect a signed form for each child under 19 years of age that is participating in programs at our facility.  Also, we are required to prohibit any player from participating or coach from coaching at Soccer First that has not completed the requisite materials as laid out within these guidelines on a yearly basis.

Since you are the key contact for your team (coach, admin, parent, etc.), please be sure that this information gets distributed to all your players.  Signed copies should be collected and turned in at your first game along with your team’s roster to Soccer First.
